FAIRFIELD — Police are interviewing a woman who said she was sexually assaulted on a Metro-North train on Tuesday morning.
The train she was on is being held at the Fairfield Metro Station while the Metropolitan Transit Authority police interview the woman, Metro-North spokeswoman Meredith Daniels said.
The woman said the person who sexually assaulted her got off the train, Daniels said.
Daniels said service between Southport and Bridgeport is running on a single track. There are some delays, but nothing significant, she said.
