EAST HARTFORD — Police are looking for a man who they say left the scene of a weekend attack on his brother with a Samurai sword.

They are working on a warrant for the arrest of Chris Parham, 47, of 72 Prospect St. He may be driving a silver Kia Rio with Pennsylvania plates, said Sgt. Michael DeMaine.

The assault happened shortly after 10:30 a.m. Sunday, DeMaine said; the brother had a quarter-inch cut to his stomach afterward. He declined medical treatment.

The sword is a replica of a Samurai sword, DeMaine said. It lacks sharp edges, he said, although it is metal and could inflict serious injuries.

“It’s more something you would put on your wall,” he said.

Anyone who knows Parham’s whereabouts is asked to call police at 860-528-4401.
