TORRINGTON — Police arrested a second person suspected of making threats against schools inDanbury and Stratford.

Authorities are withholding the name of the suspect, a 19-year-old man. He was charged by warrant with conspiracy to commit first-degree assault and criminal attempt to commit first-degree assault.

Police first arrested 18-year-old Natalie Carpenter on Tuesday. She faces the same charges.

The incident remains under investigation, but no more arrests are expected.

Torrington police received a report on Monday that Carpenter had made “verbal threats concerning acts of violence at schools in Danbury and Stratford,” police said. No threats were made toward Torrington schools, police said.
