WINDSOR — A 44-year-old man has been charged with murder in a fatal stabbing Thursday at 64 Bina Ave., police said.
Ray Smith is also charged with interfering with police.
Police have identified the victim as 40-year-old Carl Mitchell.
Police were dispatched at 7:41 p.m. to 64 Bina Ave., where both men lived. Officers discovered Smith had been stabbed in the chest.
He was taken to Hartford Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Investigators have not determined a motive for the stabbing, but were told Smith attacked Mitchell as they talked about a telephone call, police said.
Smith struggled with police officers who used a stun gun to subdue him, police said. He is currently under police custody at Hartford Hospital.
