BRIDGEPORT — A local woman threatened a neighbor with a knife and a pot of boiling peas after they got into an argument, police said.
Mercedes Bowman, 35, was charged with threatening and breach of peace, police said.
The incident unfolded Monday night after the victim, a 57-year-old man, told police he gave Bowman, his neighbor in a Noble Avenue rooming house, some food to prepare because she is a good cook.
It didn’t go as planned.
When the man returned to the shared kitchen Bowman started to throw his food away, police said. She then threatened him with the knife and the pot of boiling water and peas, police said.
The man went back to his room and called police, who were able to corroborate what he told them through a wintess. They then charged Bowman.
