FARMINGTON — A Bristol man has been charged a second time with stealing large quantities of wire from his former employer, Amstek Metal of Farmington.

Patrick G. Power, 53, of Lardner Road, was charged Tuesday with first-degree larceny for allegedly stealing about $40,000 worth of wire from Amstek, and then taking it to a metal recycler for money.

Police also charged Power with first-degree larceny in September for allegedly stealing $57,000 worth of wire.

The new arrest is for conduct that occurred at the same time, but was discovered only recently, Farmington police Lt. Colin Ryan said.

The alleged thefts occurred in 2012 and 2013, Ryan said.
