A Bridgeport mother is pleading for the return of her Autistic son’s therapy dog, that, she claims, was stolen a month ago.
Haydee Peralta said the Yorskshire Terrier, named Aimie, escaped from her sister’s apartment on Noble Avenue in Bridgeport after the door was mistakenly left open. Video surveillance from the store next door, showed the dog wandering around, Peralta said.
Then, the cameras showed a woman in scrubs, around 5 feet 5 inches tall exited a dark colored Nissan Maxima, according to Peralta. The woman and another man from the car were able to grab Aimie and take off, she claimed.
“She has, or she had, a name plate with her name, my name, and my phone number. So there’s no reason that for this time I haven’t been able to hear from her,” Peralta said of the missing pooch.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Bridgeport Police Department.
