New Haven Police are still searching to make an arrest in the city’s latest homicide…another shooting which claimed another teenage victim for the second time in less than two weeks.

Torrence Gamble, 16, died at the hospital after getting shot in the head.

It happened around 9:30pm Thursday in the area in front of 78 Daggett Street.

The lady living there, as well as other neighbors, said they heard only one loud gunshot.

“I’m sure they waited until nobody was around, I’m sure they looked around and made sure, and then they shot him,” Nora Lacks said.

Gamble was a student at Riverside Academy.

Mayor Toni Harp had planned to meet with principles of the city’s alternative high schools to figure out what’s going on and what can be done to curb youth gun violence.

    Dear New Haven,
You can thank the Connecticut government for banning registered rifles but not carring about illegal hand guns.
    Great job.
