Police Investigating Shooting Behind New Britain Diner

NEW BRITAIN — Police are investigating a shooting that took place early Sunday morning on Corbin Avenue behind the New Britain Diner.

Police said an officer heard several shots being fired in the parking lot behind the diner at 1130 Corbin Ave. around 2 a.m.

Not long after the reports of the shooting, police were informed a 35-year-old man was brought into a local emergency room with two gunshot wounds. Police said the injuries weren’t life-threatening.

Police said there weren’t any victims or suspects at the scene.

Police said they believe this was not a random incident. Police are still investigating the incident.
