NEW HAVEN — The Elm City’s 12th annual restaurant week runs through Friday with deals at 30 of New Haven’s most popular restaurants.
The participating restaurants are offering three-course lunches for $18 and prix fixe dinners for $32.
Kelly Valentine, a self-proclaimed foodie, said she always participates in New Haven Restaurant Week.
“It’s perfect, sometimes you don’t want to spend a ton of money on a place you don’t know,” she said. “This is pretty inexpensive to come for lunch, try it out, and tons of times we’ll come back to try it again.”
Megan Bresnahan from participating restaurant Caseus Cheese and Bistro says it’s great for business.
“One hundred percent I really think that the bulk of the business that we do at restaurant week are people who have not walked through the door before.”
In addition to deals on food, New Haven is also offering a specials at the Temple or Crown street parking garages: $5 from 4 p.m. to midnight. Stanford and Branford are hosting their restaurant weeks this week as well and offering similar deals.
