Spring cleanup is welcome work after such a brutally long winter.

Do-it-yourselfers and landscaping crews have been dethatching lawns and raking up leaves and twigs to get the grass prepped for much warmer days.

The toll Winter has taken on landscapes is clear.

Many plants and shrubs were damaged from winter burn.

Meanwhile, driveways are cracking up, but that’s no joke.

Cracks get longer and wider because water gets in them, then freezes and expands.

It’s always smart to fill in cracks before the Winter.
