BRISTOL — A 20-year-old woman reported to police late Wednesday that an armed man had forced his way into her Shawn Drive apartment, police said.
The woman told police she had taken her trash outside, around 9:50 p.m., and was heading back to her apartment when the man stopped her from closing her door and forced his way inside, police said.
He left without taking anything, police said. The woman ran to her grandmother’s home, where police were called about an hour after the crime, police said.
The suspect was described as being about 5-feet 8-inches. He had a medium build. He wore a black mask, black pants, black jacket, black gloves and black “Nike” sneakers.
The incident remains under investigation. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call Bristol police at 860-584-3011.
