Neighbors who’ve felt powerless for years finally felt relief Friday afternoon after police arrested 58-year-old Arthur Gauvin. Authorities and neighbors say Gauvin kept his 56-year-old disabled sister locked up inside a tiny bedroom for several years against her will.
It wasn’t until Thursday night when police received an anonymous tip and found the woman trapped in a bolted room covered in feces and urine. She was rushed to Yale-New Haven Medical Center where she’s currently under observation.
