Wearing a blue hoodie and no shoes, the Milford teenager accused of stabbing his classmate to death made his first public appearance since his arrest.

Christopher Plaskon was arraigned as a juvenile for murder on Tuesday…Friday the 16 year old was in adult court.

According to Milford police paperwork, Plaskon was covered in blood and told a school resource officer, “I did it.  Just arrest me,” after Maren Sanchez, 16, was found stabbed several times in a stairwell last Friday at Jonathan Law High School.

Although State’s Attorney Kevin Lawlor wouldn’t talk about a possible motive for the stabbing, other students have said Plaskon and Sanchez were friends, and that she rejected his invite to the prom that night.

Plaskon is now confined to the Manson Youth Institution in Cheshire where he continues to be medicated and under suicide watch.

“He certainly understands that he’s charged with murder, he understands who we are, he understands what our role is, and he understands the nature of the fact that this is a criminal procedure.” Defense attorney Richard Meehan said. “Whether he understands the full ramifications, that all remains to be seen.”

A probable cause hearing for Plaskon is set for Wednesday, June 4, at 10am.
