MILFORD — A 16-year-old charged with murder in the death of Maren Sanchez a week ago at Jonathan Law High School faced a judge for the first time Friday.
Christopher Plaskon said nothing during the brief hearing. His lawyers, the prosecutor and judge scheduled a preliminary hearing for June 4.
The judge also ordered a continued suicide watch for Plaskon and that Plaskon continue to receive psychological treatment at the jail.
Plaskon had been receiving psychiatric treatment at an area hospital since being taken into custody moments after the killing of Sanchez April 25. He was initially arraigned as a juvenile, but the case was moved into adult court because he faces a charge of murder. His bail was set at $3 million and he was taken into custody and was being held at the Manson Youth Institution in Cheshire.
