HARTFORD — Police raiding suspected drug selling locations seized cocaine and marijuana and arrested two people, including a man wanted for a shooting a year ago.

Vice and narcotics squad officers, joined by the police department’s SWAT team and the Hartford Shooting Task Force, raided 33 Seyms St., first floor, and 51 Seyms St., first floor.

They found Steven Echevarria, 23, at 51 Seyms. Police said Echevarria, a convicted felon, was identified as the shooter in an incident that occurred about 1 a.m. May 11, 2013 in the area of 53 Seyms.

Echevarria was charged with criminal possession of a firearm, unlawful discharge of a firearm, carrying a pistol without a permit and first-degree reckless endangerment in the shooting case, and held on $350,000 bail. He was also charged with tampering with evidence and destruction of evidence for allegedly trying to destroy drugs during the raid.
