Two Glastonbury Firms Awarded $125,000 For Work On Space Exploration, Aerospace Advancements

Thoughtventions Unlimited of Glastonbury had two proposals. The first was to develop a fiberoptic thermal imaging system to map the temperature inside a jet engine turbine. The second was to develop extreme heat resistant windows for use on a Venus lander. Sustainable innovations received an award for highly efficient, solid state hydrogen purification for resource recovery.

U.S. Senators Richard Blumenthal and Chris Murphy announced the awards at Thoughtventions Unlimited Friday morning. A total of seven state businesses were awarded nine grants. The grants were among 383 proposals accepted nationwide as part of NASA’s Small Business Innovation Research Program and Small Business Technology Transfer Program.
