Hartford Police have closed the September 2012 murder of Sonia Rivera. Chris Lyons has more.
On September 27,2012, Sonia Riveria was brutally beaten in a dangerous section of Hartford.
Sonia was violently assaulted near 216 Washington Street, by an unknown assailant. Around 7:30 that night, a man came to the area to use drugs, and he heard some unusual noises.
After investigating, he found Sonia, badly beaten over the head, and unresponsive.
Emergency services came to the scene and brought Sonia to the hospital, but two days later on the 29, she succumbed to her injuries.
