Today will be the second time the public gets a look at Scott Gellatly as he could enter a plea when his case is transferred to Milford Superior Court. Gellatly was arraigned last Thursday in Derby and he remains in police custody under suicide watch.

The last time he was in court, Gellatly was dressed in an orange jumpsuit for his arraignment. During his appearance, Gellatly only said two words – “No, ma’am” – in response to a question from the judge. He appeared for about five minutes. Today we’re expected to see him again in Milford, where his case has been transferred.

Gellatly had been under a court order to stay away from his estranged wife Lori and their children since April 24 when she applied for a temporary restraining order. Last Wednesday, police say he forced his way into his former home and shot and killed Lori. He also shot her mother, who is still in the hospital in critical condition.

After a six hour manhunt, police found Gellatly. According to court documents, he’s facing seven charges including murder and attempted murder.
