Two family financial centers have been created in Hartford to help women and families become financially stable.
The centers provide:
- One-on-one counseling sessions
- Instruction on how to balance a budget
- Help in seeing where they can save a little
- Opportunity to participate in a matched savings account
Funding comes from the fundraiser, “Power of the Purse,” by United Way of Central and Northeastern Connecticut.
It features a silent auction of purses, purses, and more purses, and a networking luncheon with Oprah’s favorite guest of all time, Dr. Tererai Trent.
