The waters off Brandford shores used to be full of lobsters, according to D.J. King. He’s been a lobsterman since 1969.
“It was very good back then, too,” says King. “Lot of guys working.”
Lately, many of King’s traps remain dry. Instead of catching seafood, he’s harvesting kelp.
“World wide it’s a billion dollar industry,” says King.
It’s a new industry King is hoping will grow, and provide him his latest big catch.
