POMFRET — The state and local fire marshal are investigating a fatal fire at a home on Brooklyn Road.
Firefighters were called to 421 Brook Road, Pomfret Center, at 1:40 a.m. Saturday and on arrival found heavy fire.
State police said the body of the person who died in the fire was recovered later in the morning and that the fire’s cause is under investigation.
