Aaron Hernandez, the Bristol native and ex-NFL star, pleaded not guilty Wednesday to two counts of murder in the 2012 shooting deaths of two men prosecutors say he stalked and ambushed after one of the victims accidentally bumped into him at a Boston nightclub.
Hernandez, 24, was indicted in the July 16 double homicide, which occurred nine days before the former tight end and Bristol Central High School football star reported for training camp with the Patriots. He entered the plea in Suffolk County, Mass. Superior Court.
Hernandez was held without bail and will appear again on June 24.
