Middletown Police arrested a Port St. Lucie Florida man who they say threatened his ex-wife last month.
According to police James Cyr, 73, entered his ex-wife’s home on April 25 saying he wanted to talk about their marriage. At some point, police said, Cyr pulled out a gun and threatened to harm her. Cyr’s 18-year-old son talked his father and persuaded him to put down the gun and leave the house. Police said Cyr was upset and had left a suicide note in his vehicle.
Police said Cyr left the area and his ex-wife filed reported the incident. After an investigation, police charged him with carrying a pistol without a permit, threatening and home invasion. He was arrested by the St. Lucia County Sheriff’s Department in Florida and extradited.
