HARTFORD — A man was shot and killed early Wednesday on Vine Street.
Police were called to the area of 26 Vine St. about 3:30 a.m. by the city’s ShotSpotter system and found a man on the ground near 44 Vine St., Deputy Police Chief Brian Foley said.
The man suffered a gunshot wound to the chest.
His killing is Hartford’s fifth homicide of the year, Foley said. Police identified the man as Tyron Taylor, 33. He lived in a shelter at 75 Main St. according to police.
