Drier, cooler air has moved across Connecticut as high pressure will drift across New England delivering bright sun, blue skies, and low humidity. Temperatures will average in the low 80s, making the day perfect for a barbeque or any outdoor activity for your dad on Father’s Day.

Warmer air will move in from the west and southwest early in the workweek with temperatures reaching the upper 80s.  A warm front will cross the area Monday into early Tuesday with a band of showers and thunderstorms followed by increasing humidity and heat Tuesday and Wednesday.  In fact, temperatures may top out near 90 degrees Wednesday afternoon. However, the heat will not last long as a cold front will drop south with a band of showers and thunderstorms ahead of the cold front Wednesday night into early Thursday, followed by more cool, dry Canadian air returning to the Northeast late Thursday and Friday.
