The thief, who hit the Hartford Road store at about 5 a.m., had first tried the front door, but it was locked, police said. Once inside, he forced two employees to the ground and ordered a third worker to hand over an undisclosed amount of money from the register. The robber then left through the drive-through window and fled north on Palm Street. There were no injuries.

The thief was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, baseball cap, sunglasses, a bandanna over his mouth, gloves that appeared to be white and work boots. Believed to be white or Hispanic, he appeared to be casing the business just before the robbery, police said.
