Singer-songwriters Paul Simon and Edie Brickell will avoid prosecution on charges related to an April altercation at their New Canaan home if they stay out of trouble.
A Norwalk Superior Court clerk said the case nollied, meaning the prosecutor agrees to drop the case but keeps the right to reopen and prosecute during the next 13 months.
Each faced a single count of disorderly conduct.
Simon told police that Brickell slapped him and he shoved his wife and called 911. He told police that was the extent of the physical confrontation between him and Brickell, his wife of 22 years.
