FAIRFIELD — Someone saw something, then said something, and Fairfield police closed Unquowa Road near the Fairfield train station.
That halted service on the railroad shortly after 7 a.m., delaying commuters.
At around 8 a.m. Metro North announced that the service expects delays of 1-2 hours at this time while police special units continue to investigate the package.
UPDATE: Police have completed their investigation, but continue to expect residual delays of 1-2 hours. The train station has reopened and service has been restored.
