Teen Raising Pancreatic Cancer Awareness At Travelers

CROMWELL — A special story from the Travelers Championship. A teenage girl is honoring her late father’s memory by walking the course at the TPC River Highlands.

She’s hoping to raise money and awareness for pancreatic cancer.

18-year-old Brittany Vose lost her father John to cancer when she was just five-years-old, and for the last five years she has rallied a gallery to join her cause.

On Sunday the 18 Hole Stroll will once again move forward to raise money.

“I know each walk is making a difference and over the past 4 years I’ve raised over 100 thousand dollars for pancreatic cancer,” Vose said. “This year my goal is 50 thousand and I’m at 39 thousand so far.”

Travelers matches every dollar up to $25,000.  Already, about 150 participants have signed up for Sundays walk at River Highlands which costs $40 and includes admission to the last day of play.
