The Cyclone, a wooden roller coaster at Six Flags that has served the public for three decades will close next month, the park announced Tuesday.
The ride will be retired on Sunday, July 20. The park has not announced any plans for the site.

The Cyclone opened in June, 1983 when the venue was called Riverside Park. According to park management, The wooden ride was designed to emulate roller coasters at Coney Island.
