Police Make Arrest In Fatal Southington Fire

SOUTHINGTON — Police have arrested a local 18-year-old man Tuesday in connection with the fire that killed a woman early Sunday morning at Summer Brooks Apartments.

Eric Morelli, of 244 Westwood Road, was arrested and charged him with first-degree manslaughter and three counts of first-degree reckless endangerment. He is being held on $150,000 bond and will be in court Wednesday.

Police said Kristen Milano, 19, Unit A, Building 32 at the Summer Brook Apartments, was killed was in an early morning fire Sunday died from smoke inhalation, but the death was was ruled a homicide, the chief state medical examiner’s office said Monday.
