SOUTHINGTON — Workers are currently replacing the eastbound I-84 bridge at Exit 30 and workers are securing the bridge into place, a DOT spokesman said Saturday morning.
The existing I-84 bridges over Marion Avenue were removed between 2 a.m. and 5 a.m, said Kevin Nursick, spokesman for the state Department of Transportation.
“They are working on the westbound structure, as well,” Nursick said.
He said that as of 9:30 this morning, traffic was moving smoothly.
