Metro North trains are running on a new schedule starting Monday.

The new schedule affects the New Haven and Harlem lines. of the rail service. The 6:20 a.m. train from New Haven to Grand Central will add stops in Old Greenwich, Riverside and Cos Cob, but will no longer stop at Port Chester and Rye stations.

The 6:50 a.m. train from Stamford to New York will leave six minutes later and that will restore a connection with the 5:48 a.m. New Haven train.

The MTA estimates that will save commuters up to 28 minutes of travel time.

The MTA spent months of monitoring performance and listening to rider complaints and suggestions. There are also some changes to the evening commute.
