NEW HAVEN — A woman accused of attacking a teen who flew a camera-equipped drone over her head at the beach was granted a special form of probation Wednesday.
Andrea Mears, 23, of Westbrook was granted accelerated rehabilitation, a program designed for first-time offenders. If she successfully completes the program, her charges could be erased.
The program is for two years; Mears’ next court date is scheduled for July 6, 2016, court staff said. The exact requirements of the program weren’t available Wednesday.
