Israeli Officer Suspended In Beating Case

(CNN) — Israeli authorities say they have suspended a police officer from a special undercover unit who was seen beating the U.S. teenager Tariq Khdeir last week in an amateur video. The Israeli Department for the Investigation of Police is considering criminal charges against the officer and he has been summoned for a hearing, the agency said in a statement.
