WILLINGTON — A Vernon woman was injured when the motorcycle she was riding collided with a car Saturday according to state police.
The collision happened at 5:43 p.m. Saturday along Route 32 or River Road. Hamil Nuri Balci of Willington was traveling in a car along Route 32. Doreen Mills of Vernon was riding a motorcycle behind him. Police said Balci was making a left turn into the River Road Athletic Complex. Mills struck the back of Balci’s car and was thrown off the motorcycle, striking the pavement.
Mills, who was wearing a helmet, was transported to Hartford Hospital by LifeStar with non-life-threatening injuries.
