After a beautiful warm Saturday evening with temperatures falling through the 80s and into the 70s, it will be a mainly clear, mild night with temperatures falling into the 60s.
Close call for Sunday as a few showers may sneak into parts of the Nutmeg State during the afternoon. Most of us will have sunshine and temperatures in the 80s.
Sea breezes will keep the beaches cooler Sunday with highs only in the upper 70s to near 80.
High pressure that delivered the sixth consecutive beautiful Saturday will move off the mid-Atlantic Coast on Sunday, and that will allow for clouds and humidity to increase, especially during the afternoon and evening hours. However, most of the shower activity will hold off until Sunday evening, keeping most of the state dry for your Sunday. However, there is the chance for an isolated shower to sneak into western Connecticut in the afternoon. As the weekend comes to a close and you head back to work, a very humid, sticky air mass will move into the state with several chances of showers and thunderstorms Monday and Tuesday when a cold front will approach our region late in the day and linger into Wednesday with a band of showers and thunderstorms that will bring relief to the high humidity. Thus, less humid air will return to the Northeast by the middle and end of next week.
