Two Escape Safely As Fire Destroys Thomaston Home

Firefighters from four towns responded to a blaze that destroyed a single-family, three-story house at 350 Hill Road in Thomaston on Sunday afternoon.

Two adults were in the home at the time of the fire and escaped without injury, according to the Thomaston Fire Department.

The fire was reported at 3:30 p.m., and firefighters from Thomaston, Terryville, Harwinton and Northfield responded, as did the Thomaston Police Department.

The fire was under control by about 5 p.m.
