A bicyclist died after being hit by a pickup truck Friday afternoon in Bloomfield, police said.
The crash occurred at about 5:15 p.m. on Blue Hills Avenue. The driver of the truck, who wasn’t injured, stopped and assisted police.
An accident reconstruction team had part of the road closed Friday night as they investigated. The investigation is ongoing, and no charges have been filed yet.
The victim was identified as a male from Bloomfield, but his name and age were being withheld pending notification of family.
