Mosquitoes that were trapped on July 16 have tested positive for West Nile virus.
The mosquitoes were trapped in East Haven by the State Mosquito Management Program.
This is the first positive test result that the Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station has found in the state so far this year.
No individuals have been infected by the disease yet.
