Two young men were arrested this afternoon for burglarizing homes in the West Hartford area.

A homeowner returned to his house on Warrenton Avenue at 11:59 a.m. today to find it broken into and the two suspects still inside. The suspects ran out and jumped on bikes and the homeowner called police.

The West Hartford Police and Hartford Police found the suspects near Capitol Avenue and Sisson Avenue in Hartford a short time later and arrested them.

Two bikes and items from a second burglary were found in a bag carried by one of the suspects. The second burglary occurred on Concord Street. The suspects forced entry into both homes through glass doors.

Hartford residents Joseph Bultran-Romero, 20, and Juan Baez, 18, were arrested and charged with multiple counts of burglary, larceny and interfering with an officer.

At this time it seems that no items were stolen in the first burglary on Warrenton Avenue. Electronics and jewelry were stolen from the second burglary on Concord.

A third burglary occurred in the area on North Quaker Lane, but it’s not yet known if it was related to the other two burglaries.
