Hartford Police Officer Arrested
UPDATE: A second arrest warrant for Officer Luis Feliciano was served this evening by the Hartford Police Department’s Internal Affairs Devision.
During the investigation of Feliciano for the larceny allegations he was initially arrested for, police found that Feliciano had allegedly committed further larcenies before the one that led to his first arrest.
His new charges include larceny in the fifth degree and possession of a shoplifiting device. These are the same charges as in his first arrest, but now he has two counts of each.
Feliciano turned himself in.
Hartford Police Officer Luis Feliciano, 34, was arrested today on charges of larceny in the fifth degree and possession of a shoplifting device.
On July 28 the department was notified of the allegations against Feliciano, and subsequently the internal affairs division investigated the allegations. After a preliminary investigation Feliciano was suspended, with pay.
Today the internal affairs division got an arrest warrant for Feliciano, a two-year veteran of the department. The officer turned himself in, and he has now been suspended without pay.
Feliciano will appear in court on August 11.
