A New Fairfield woman is due in court in Danbury today to face child abuse charges, according to State Police.
Alexandra Aucapina, 27, turned herself into police Tuesday afternoon for an outstanding arrest warrant for several counts of child abuse that occurred within her home.
The children were the victims of varying levels of abuse, according to State Police. This stems from a DCF investigation from February 2014. The children were removed from the home.
Aucapina is facing several charges including Risk of Injury to a Minor, 2nd Degree Assault, and Reckless Endangerment. She was released on bond.
