A suspect from an armed robbery in West Hartford last night is on the loose.

A suspect agreed to meet the  victim in the Walmart parking lot, located at 333 N. Main St., to purchase an iPhone that was listed on Cragislist. The suspect tried to pay in counterfeit bills, and the victim confronted him.

At this point the suspect pulled out a black handgun and threatened to kill the victim. He then left the scene in a dark sedan.

The suspect has been identified as Kevon Ferrell, 21, and he is described as 5 foot 7 inches tall and 140 pounds.

Ferrell has active arrest warrants in Connecticut for this crime and a second fraud case in West Hartford earlier on Monday, and in New York for firearm possession in connection to a Brooklyn shooting.

The gun hasn’t been found. If you have information or see Ferrell call the West Hartford Police Department at 860-523-5203.
