After a long stretch of mainly dry weather, we all get rain for Wednesday.The combination of the heavy rain and embedded thunderstorms could cause some flash flooding with the potential for 1″-3” of rain before tapering off during the evening hours on Wednesday. High pressure returns to Southern New England Thursday and Friday with cool dry refreshing air and plenty of sunshine.
Wednesday: Rain, heavy at times with the chance of a few embedded thunderstorms. Locally heavy rain could induce flash flooding. Heaviest during the morning, with some clearing possible by the late afternoon. Highs: 70s to around 80.
Thursday: Partly sunny, much less humid. An isolated shower, but most stay dry. Highs: Mid-upper 70’s.
Friday: Mostly sunny, pleasant. Highs: 75-80.
Weekend: Partly to mostly sunny, warm and pleasant. High: 80’s.
