A man is being called a hero for taking quick action to save two lives after a serious accident happened right in front of him.
FOX 13 in Salt Lake City reports that David Fredericksen was driving on I-10 near Biloxi, Mississippi on Monday, August 11 when he saw a car slam into a semi-truck right in front of him. The car struck the fuel tank and immediately burst into flames.
Fredericksen’s son posted the video on YouTube, and he also posted the story of what happened with it. A dash cam that was installed in the truck Fredericksen was traveling in clearly shows him exit the truck and walk up to the car that was on fire with a fire extinguisher to help the passengers get out.
Several other people got out of their cars and followed Fredericksen’s lead. His son wrote in his post that the driver was a grandmother who had her one-year-old granddaughter in the backseat. The post also said that the grandmother broke her leg in the accident and couldn’t get out of the car because its doors were jammed shut.
Everyone involved in the crash walked away with only minor injuries.
