Police in New Britain are investigating a homicide that occurred late Monday night.
Cory Earl Washington, 19, was shot and killed, police said in a release Wednesday afternoon.
New Britain Police say at 10:49 p.m. dispatchers received calls for gunfire in the area of 62 Roberts Street. Police said there were reports of a person lying in the street. When police arrived, they found a male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.
