Hartford has a new headliner for entertainment, and Thursday's grand opening was a red carpet affair.
Infinity Music Hall & Bistro is now open for laughs and singing on Front Street. The venue for comedy and musical acts is a 500-seat, split-level theater, complimented by a restaurant with a gourmet menu.
The $6.8 million downtown destination took 16 months to build, and promises to be a place where not only fans, but also artists want to go.
"It's such a new place, it has that new car smell, it's really unusual," musician Jonathan Edwards said while remembering the places he's played, which often smell like old beer.
Infinity Hall said it's already booked 250 acts.
