Today was the annual UConn football media day, and it was an exciting event that introduced people to the new talk of the team: starting quarterback Casey Cochran.
A competition between Cochran and two other potential star quarterbacks resulted in Coach Bob Diaco picking Cochran to fill the starting position.
Last season Cochran sat on the sidelines for the first eight games. He then got a chance to play, and got a 3-1 record for the games he participated in.
The Huskies season opener is a week from tomorrow, Friday, August 29, when UConn will host Brigham Young University.
